Why learn Japanese?

Why learn Japanese?

Mar 30, 2024

My perspective is different. I urge you to read my views and look at the Japanese language knowledge landscape differently. Knowledge of Japanese is far more extensive than what you hear or are taught.

Most of you who have learned Japanese or are considering it should know that there are several important reasons to do so. These reasons are more significant than most reasons you hear all the time.

Firstly, Japan and India have a special global strategic partnership, giving Japan an edge in accessing a special corridor in India to deploy its industries. One such corridor is the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). With the influx of Japanese industries into India, job opportunities will rise exponentially, particularly in India's dawn of Amritkaal, or the new beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

This is not the case with other countries, and it is equally difficult for other countries to make a similar space in India. This is primarily due to Japanese science and technology dominance in the global space, which India and Japan will leverage for India and most importantly, out of India, to global markets. Therefore, learning Japanese will secure a well-paid job.

Please remember that Japan's first preference is to do business in their native language, irrespective of regions and demographics. Learning this language may not bring you to Japan, but it may take you to places in other countries where Japan has dominance in business. This is primarily due to three reasons:

a) Japanese companies are positioned worldwide, so an Indian resource can be sent to work for a Japanese company due to language capabilities.

b) Indians are academically superior, advantageous for Japan. Deploying Indian resources will significantly assist Japan in doing business internationally.

c) It is cost-effective for Japanese companies to hire Indian resources in international locations, especially with Japan's significant population decline.

The Japanese hold Indian education and talents in high regard, giving an Indian resource an edge over other nations at the time of hiring by a Japanese company. There are many reasons to learn Japanese. I urge Japanese language teachers and training institutes to speak in these lines. The world is changing rapidly, and India will see the greatest industrial revolution in this century, with Japan being a major force. Let us acknowledge the importance and prepare the youth ahead of time. I bet you will have a great life ahead, at least in terms of financial stature.

Thank you.
