Launch of the Japan Education Center and Information Excellence Skill Center in Assam
May 14 2025: We are excited to share a significant milestone achieved by the Japan Education Center and Information (JECI) in advancing Japanese-style education in Northeast India, with a strong focus on quality and excellence.
JECI, in collaboration with the Reiyukai Knowledge Foundation Trust, has officially launched the Japan Education Center and Information Excellence Skill Center at Braintree International School, Bongaigaon, Assam.
This newly established center marks a transformative step in Indo-Japanese educational collaboration, offering globally-relevant, future-ready learning experiences to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Here’s what students can look forward to:
✅ Swachh Bharat Programs – Promoting cleanliness, civic responsibility, and sustainability from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
✅ Japanese Language Proficiency Training – Enabling students to earn international certifications and develop multilingual skills.
✅ Student Exchange Program to Japan – Offering Grades 6–12 students a unique opportunity to experience Japanese culture and education firsthand.
✅ EJU Exam Preparation – Structured guidance and resources to help students gain admission to Japanese universities.
✅ Cultural and Intellectual Exchange Initiatives – Facilitating cross-cultural learning through joint academic projects and virtual collaborations.
✅ Industry Visits to Japanese Companies – Giving Grades 9–12 students practical exposure to Japanese innovation, work culture, and career pathways.
These transformative programs go far beyond traditional curriculum upgrades—they serve as gateways to global perspectives, cross-cultural collaboration, and international career opportunities.
In partnership, the Japan Education Center and Information (JECI) and the Reiyukai Knowledge Foundation Trust are taking the lead and will work diligently to establish Japan Education Skill Centers across both K–12 and higher education clusters throughout Assam.
This is more than just the launch of a center—it marks the beginning of a movement. A movement to empower the youth of Assam, ignite innovation, and connect students to a world of limitless possibilities in context to Japan, India and the world.
