Launch of JECI Skill Center at J.B. Educational Society – A Landmark Step in Japan-India Educational Collaboration

On April 22 and 23, 2025, officials from Japan Education Center And Information (JECI) visited the institutions run by J.B. Educational Society in Hyderabad. This visit marks a significant milestone as it sets the foundation for establishing the JECI Skill Center within the campuses of the Society's 10 colleges.

The JECI Skill Center incubation process is scheduled to commence by mid-May 2025, with program offerings launching in early August 2025. These programs are rooted in Japanese-style education and will equip students with essential academic, workplace, and life skills aligned with global standards.

As a skill incubator, JECI will deliver a diverse range of programs aimed at preparing students for success in Japanese academia, industry, and society. We are confident that within 12 months, this initiative will begin producing skilled human resources ready to contribute meaningfully to Japan’s academic and professional spheres. This partnership marks only the beginning of what promises to be a highly impactful collaboration.

Aligned with SDG 17 and national missions such as Make in India, Skill India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat, JECI’s programs promote continuous improvement, global employability, and cultural competence. This initiative will significantly enhance the career prospects of Indian youth not only in Japan but also in India and worldwide.

This collaboration, grounded in the shared vision of India-Japan relations, will benefit over 5,000 students across J.B. Educational Society's institutions.
